The Peaceful Presence Project
Partnership with the Peaceful Presence
in Bend, Oregon
CAFE is collaborating with The Peaceful Presence Project, a Central Oregon-based not-for-profit organization that guides communities to live well, age well and die well by reimagining the way we talk about, plan for and experience the last stages of life. Recognizing that a fear of death can contribute to a fear of aging, Peaceful Presence initiatives are focused on the cultivation of community networks of individuals prepared to act as informed companions and advocates. The organization’s services complement the care provided by family members, friends and healthcare providers. Primary focus areas are end-of-life education, holistic advance care planning and compassionate bedside presence for people living with serious or terminal illness.
